FIR Filed Against Coca-Cola Bottling Plant

BALLIA: Residents of a village here have filed an FIR against officials of a Coca Cola bottling plant, alleging hazardous wastes from the plant were contaminating the water table.

The FIR has been filed against the managers of the bottling plant on the directives of Superintendent of Police Amitabh Thakur.

The Gram Pradhan and villagers of Singhchar alleged in their complaint that waste material disposed off by the plant contained hazardous chemicals which was contaminating the nearby drain.
